Why is my refrigerator not cooling but the freezer still works?
A warm fresh food side with a cold freezer points at airflow between compartments, not the compressor. The usual causes are a failed evaporator fan, a defrost fault icing the coil, or a damper stuck closed. If the freezer holds, the sealed system is almost always fine and the repair is a component replacement.
